Job Purpose
The Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction, fostering conceptual understanding, and creating an engaging learning environment that promotes academic excellence and holistic development. The role involves effective curriculum delivery, student mentoring, assessment, and active participation in the school's academic and co-curricular initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction for Classes IX–XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop annual plans, lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, assignments, and assessments to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Foster conceptual learning through inquiry-based, experiential, and project-based teaching methodologies.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, analyze performance, and provide constructive feedback and academic support.
- Mentor students for Board Examinations, Olympiads, NTSE, competitive examinations, and other academic enrichment programmes, wherever applicable.
- Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance, assessment reports, lesson plans, and student progress documentation.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with Subject Heads, Academic Coordinators, and fellow teachers for curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and school initiatives.
- Effectively integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom teaching.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and academic development.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development programmes, school events, clubs, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold the school's values, policies, child protection guidelines, and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in the relevant subject with B.Ed. (Mandatory).
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience in preparing students for Board Examinations and competitive examinations will be an added advantage.
