Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily fabrication activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved. The role involves leading production teams, optimizing resources, and maintaining efficient workflow throughout the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily fabrication activities based on the production schedule.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and materials to achieve production targets.
- Monitor fabrication processes including cutting, laser cutting, bending, welding, fitting, grinding, and assembly.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Design, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production progress and resolve issues affecting productivity.
- Conduct daily production meetings and assign work to operators and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, PPE requirements, and 5S workplace practices.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and machine utilization reports.
- Minimize material wastage, downtime, and rework through effective process control.
- Monitor employee performance and provide training and guidance to improve productivity.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to reduce machine breakdowns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and production planning.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication documents.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection methods.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, including supervisory experience.

Working Environment

Pay: From ₹11,011.29 per month
