About Sportons Media
Sportons Media is a sports and entertainment company involved in sports leagues, tournaments, player activities, franchise operations, brand partnerships, sponsorships, events, and sports-related commercial ventures.
We are looking to appoint a reputed law firm on a monthly retainership basis to provide ongoing legal support across our business and sports operations.
Scope of Work
The appointed legal firm will provide legal advisory and documentation support, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, contracts and MoUs.
- Player, coach, talent and team agreements.
- Franchise and licensing agreements.
- Sponsorship and brand partnership agreements.
- Vendor, service provider and event agreements.
- NDAs, confidentiality agreements and declarations.
- Media, broadcasting, OTT and content-related agreements.
- Venue and event-related contracts.
- Legal due diligence of franchisees, investors, sponsors and business partners.
- Intellectual Property matters, including trademarks, copyrights and brand protection.
- Corporate and commercial legal advisory.
- Review of marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns from a legal perspective.
- Sports league, tournament and event-related legal compliance.
- Handling legal notices and responses.
- Support in disputes, arbitration and litigation through the firm's relevant specialists.
- Coordination with government authorities and regulatory bodies wherever required.
- Advising management on potential legal risks before entering into significant business arrangements.
- Providing timely legal opinions on business and operational matters.
Retainer Expectations
The law firm should be able to provide:
- A dedicated point of contact/relationship partner for Sportons Media.
- Routine legal consultations during business hours.
- Contract review and drafting within agreed turnaround times.
- Priority assistance for urgent sports/event-related matters.
- Access to specialists in corporate, commercial, IP, employment and dispute-resolution matters.
- Regular updates on important legal and regulatory developments affecting our business.

- Additional charges, if any, for litigation, court appearances, registrations or specialized assignments.
- Proposed turnaround time for routine and urgent matters.
- Details of the partner/associate who will handle the account.

Engagement Model
Preferred Model: Monthly Retainership
The final scope, professional fees, response timelines and exclusions will be mutually agreed upon through a formal engagement letter/retainer agreement.
