Job Summary
The Senior Executive – Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling food, beverage, and operational costs across restaurant and hospitality operations. The role involves inventory management, recipe costing, variance analysis, stock audits, and ensuring compliance with company cost control policies to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly food and beverage costs.
- Conduct inventory checks and stock audits across outlets and warehouses.
- Analyze consumption patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare cost reports, variance reports, and management MIS.
- Ensure proper recording of purchases, transfers, wastage, and stock movements.
- Verify recipe costing and menu pricing to maintain target margins.
- Reconcile inventory records with physical stock counts.
- Monitor vendor pricing and support procurement cost optimization.
- Investigate discrepancies in stock and cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Operations, Purchase, Stores, and Finance teams for smooth inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end closing activities and cost-related reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Cost Control, preferably in Hospitality, Restaurants, QSR, or F&B operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and food & beverage costing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting).
- Experience with POS, ERP, or inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
