Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Technician to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will support physicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient care procedures in the ICU.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes promptly.
- Prepare and maintain critical care equipment and supplies.
- Assist with patient transportation and positioning.
- Perform ECGs, specimen collection, and other assigned clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Technology, Allied Health Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous experience in critical care, ICU, emergency department, or hospital settings preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment and critical care procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
