We are actively seeking proficient Medical Coders with specialized experience in HCC coding to join our exceptional team.
Role Highlights:
As a member of our HCC Coding Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices. Here are some key accountabilities you will undertake:
Review medical records to abstract ICD-10 codes, with a focus on those related to HCCs and RxHCCs.
Adhere to Medicare guidelines, ICD-10-CM guidelines, and client-specific requirements.
Analyze and code patient medical records according to project-specific guidelines.
Exercise precise code assignment by following ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpreting relevant guidelines.
Follow the established Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules.
Sustain a consistent productivity level aligned with project demands.
Uphold individual compliance with privacy and security regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of all Company-sensitive data.
Perform audits on retrospective and concurrent medical provider clinical documentation while adhering to Medicare standards.
Identify opportunities for documentation enhancement and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Maintain a professional demeanor, consistently upholding ethical standards and displaying effective interpersonal skills.
Align your conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding, the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and actively support the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
Adhere to all internal policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
Achieve and maintain a minimum accuracy rate of 95%.
Meet weekly production targets.
Demonstrate reliability and maintain the utmost confidentiality across all job responsibilities.
Possess knowledge of HIPAA regulations, reflecting a strong commitment to privacy, security, and medical chart confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a life science or related field.
Licenses/Certifications: CPC/COC/CRC/CCS/CIC certification.
Display a proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving, particularly regarding barriers to validating accurate HCC information.
Possess a minimum of 6 months to maximum 2 years of experience in HCC coding is Mandatory. ( Candidates with more than 2.5 years of experience need not apply for this position. This is only for Junior Level)
Exhibit robust skills in ICD 10 CM and Risk Adjustment coding guidelines.
