Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Site Management & Supervision: Overseeing daily site operations, allocating daily tasks to workers, and managing subcontractors to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Technical Implementation: Interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to guide the construction process.
- Surveying & Layout: Performing setting out, leveling, and surveying, including marking boundary lines, column centerlines, and structural levels, according to the Scribd document.
- Quality Control (QC): Inspecting construction materials, checking steel reinforcements (bar bending schedules) before concreting, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Safety Assurance: Enforcing strict health and safety protocols (PPE compliance, site safety rules) to minimize risks of injury or harm, as discussed in the Indeed article and Civil Guruji article.
- Planning & Scheduling: Creating and monitoring daily, weekly, or monthly progress schedules, identifying milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Material & Resource Management: Estimating required raw materials, placing orders, inspecting incoming materials, and tracking usage to manage inventory.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining daily site logs, inspection records, structural checklists, and preparing project progress reports for senior management.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively addressing design discrepancies, on-site obstacles, and resource shortages
