Job Description – Senior Snowflake/DBT Data Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake/dbt Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise
data modernization initiative involving migration of legacy SAP BODS, SQL, and Informatica IICS
workloads into a modern Snowflake and dbt architecture. The engineer will work closely with
onshore technical leads to develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines while adhering to
enterprise architecture standards..
Key Responsibilities
Develop dbt models for staging, intermediate, ODS, and consumption layers.
Convert legacy SQL, SAP BODS, and IICS transformation logic into dbt models.
Design modular and reusable dbt macros and transformation frameworks.
Optimize Snowflake SQL performance and warehouse utilization.
Implement data transformation best practices using ELT architecture.
Create technical documentation, lineage, and source-to-target mappings.
Participate in code reviews and deployment activities.
Support migration validation and reconciliation.
