We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee our organization's financial planning, reporting, and internal controls. You will partner closely with senior leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy, while managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is a key role for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with the business judgment to influence decisions across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Develop and manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts in partnership with department heads.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for senior leadership and the board.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risk, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial controls; support external audits.
- Supervise and mentor accounting/finance staff, including reviewing their work and supporting professional development.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls for accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Sales) to support pricing, cost management, and investment decisions.
- Support strategic initiatives such as fundraising, M&A due diligence, or new market analysis, as needed.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA or CPA/CMA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and internal control frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment in handling confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in [industry, e.g., SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare].
- Familiarity with financial planning & analysis (FP&A) tools such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or Vena.
- Prior experience supporting audits, fundraising rounds, or M&A transactions.
