Trainee Teacher / Shadow TeacherRole
To support classroom teaching and student learning across Primary and Lower Secondary (Grades 1–8) by assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing individual student support, and contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and conducting classroom lessons and learning activities.
- Support individual students or small groups with academic and classroom tasks.
- Provide one-to-one support to assigned students, where required, to enhance their learning and well-being.
- Help maintain discipline and encourage positive classroom behaviour.
- Assist in preparing teaching aids, worksheets, learning resources, and classroom displays.
- Supervise students during assemblies, break times, field trips, and other school activities.
- Observe classroom practices and progressively take on teaching responsibilities under the guidance of senior teachers.
- Support teachers in maintaining student records and classroom documentation.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to promote students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Communicate professionally with staff and parents whenever required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (B.Ed. or Diploma in Education is an added advantage).
- Fresh graduates with a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a school setting will be an added advantage.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Basic computer proficiency.
