Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of network security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, VPN, etc.).
Manage and respond to incidents and service requests escalated from L1 support.
Configure and manage firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN tunnels, and security policies.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network security incidents.
Monitor network traffic and analyze logs for anomalies or malicious activity.
Implement standard change management and incident response procedures.
Ensure all systems and processes adhere to security standards and compliance requirements.
Maintain documentation related to configurations, changes, and incident reports.
Coordinate with internal teams and OEM vendors for resolution of complex issues.
Stay updated with the latest security threats and technologies.
Technical Skills Required:
Strong experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, etc.)
Hands-on with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
Experience with IDS/IPS systems (Snort, Suricata, or OEM-specific).
Knowledge of web proxy and content filtering solutions (Blue Coat, Zscaler, etc.)
Good understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, and switching concepts.
Experience in log analysis tools (SIEM, Syslog servers).
Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash) – optional but a plus.

PCNSA / PCNSE (Palo Alto)

CEH / CompTIA Security+
