Responsibilities:
· Conduct microbiological research projects independently or as part of a team.
· Design, plan, and execute experiments to investigate microbial behavior, growth, and interactions.
· Perform microbial isolations, identifications, and characterizations using a variety of techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and biochemical assays.
· Analyze and interpret experimental data accurately, drawing meaningful conclusions to contribute to the advancement of microbiological knowledge.
· Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper functioning, and adhere to safety protocols.
· Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives.
· Stay updated with the latest advancements in microbiology through literature review and attendance at relevant conferences or seminars.
· Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications for internal documentation and external dissemination.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff or interns as needed.
Requirements:
· Master's degree in Microbiology or related field.
· More than 2 years of experience working in a microbiology research environment.
· Proficiency in a wide range of microbiological techniques, including microbial culture, molecular biology, and microscopy.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and presentation of findings.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
· Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards in all aspects of research and laboratory work.
· Flexibility and adaptability to changing research priorities and project requirements.
· Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in research practices.
