Position: Assistant Nursing Superintendent (ANS)

Job Summary
The Assistant Nursing Superintendent assists the Nursing Superintendent in planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising nursing services to ensure high-quality patient care. The role involves managing nursing personnel, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and administration of nursing services.
- Ensure quality patient care and adherence to nursing standards.
- Monitor nursing staff performance and provide guidance and support.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staffing requirements.
- Coordinate orientation, training, and continuing education programs for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control practices.
- Monitor nursing documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in implementing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with medical, administrative, and allied health departments.
- Handle patient and staff concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Participate in audits, accreditation activities, and policy implementation.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing or M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of clinical nursing experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role in a recognized hospital.
Skills
- Leadership and team management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and infection control practices.
- Computer proficiency and nursing documentation.
