About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, trend-savvy Social Media Executive to manage and grow our brand's presence across social platforms for the US market. This person will track emerging trends, create and schedule content, engage with the US audience in real time, and work closely with design/content teams to build a consistent, recognizable brand voice. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing brand handles (not just personal social media) and understands the nuances of US social media culture, slang, humour, and platform algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and publish content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn as applicable) tailored to a US audience.
- Track daily trends, sounds, memes, and viral formats relevant to the brand's niche and adapt them quickly (trend-jacking) while staying on-brand.
- Own the content calendar, plan posts in advance while leaving room for real-time/trend-reactive content.
- Monitor brand mentions, comments, and DMs; engage with the community in a timely, on-brand tone.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, video editors, and copywriters to brief and produce creative assets.
- Track key metrics (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, CTR, conversions) and report weekly/monthly performance with insights, not just numbers.
- Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and adjust content strategy accordingly.
- Support influencer/UGC collaboration coordination where relevant.
- Ensure brand voice, tone, and visual consistency across all handles.
- Competitor and category benchmarking to spot whitespace opportunities.
Must-Have Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing brand (not personal) social media handles.
- Proven experience creating/managing content specifically for a US or other Western market audience will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices (Reels/Shorts, carousel posts, X threads, Pinterest pins, etc.).
- Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, Buffer, native platform analytics).
- Excellent written English with a natural grasp of US colloquial tone, humor, and cultural references.
- Comfortable working in US time-zone-aligned shifts.
- Data-oriented mindset — can read analytics and translate them into action.
Good to Have
- Exposure to influencer marketing or UGC campaign coordination.
- Copywriting or content writing background.
- Familiarity with AI content tools (ChatGPT/Claude, image/video AI tools) for ideation and drafting.
- Prior experience in an agency or D2C brand handling multiple client/brand handles.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Walk me through a brand social media handle you managed end-to-end. What was your role, and what platforms?
- What was a campaign or content series you personally planned that performed well? What made it work?
- . Tell me about a post or campaign that didn't perform well. What did you learn and change?
- What's a US social media trend you jumped on recently? How did you adapt it for a brand instead of just copying it?
- How would you adjust your tone/content if you were posting for a Gen Z US audience vs. a millennial or professional US audience?
- How do you usually discover trends before they peak, rather than after everyone's already using them?
- . If you were handed a brand you knew nothing about, how would you build the first 30 days of content strategy?
- Which scheduling/analytics tools have you used day-to-day, and what metrics do you check weekly?
- Tell me about a time analytics data changed your content plan.
- What's your notice period and expected CTA (or CTC)?
