Responsibilities:
- The proposed Product Cost Engineer (PCE) must possess strong manufacturing and cost engineering expertise. For Mechanical Engineering requirements, candidates should have in-depth knowledge of Machining, Sheet Metal, Gas Lines, Frames, Assemblies, and Kits. For Electrical Engineering requirements, candidates must have solid experience in Harnesses and Cables. The resource should be proficient in performing should-cost analysis for the specified commodities using a Priori and be capable of delivering accurate, data-driven cost estimates
- Key responsibilities and expectations include:
- Taking ownership of and committing to assigned parts and deliverables.
- Downloading and reviewing required 2D drawings, 3D models, and Engineering BOMs from Teamcenter.
- Performing detailed should-cost analysis using aPriori and industry-standard methodologies.
- Accurately uploading cost results and supporting documentation into the designated request tool.
- Providing comprehensive cost breakdowns and supporting requestors through technical discussions, supplier engagements, and cost reviews as required.
- Participating in supplier discussions and defending cost assumptions with clear rationale and supporting data.
o Ensuring all analyses undergo peer review and quality validation prior to final submission.
