Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bakery Instructor to train students in professional baking and pastry production. The instructor will deliver practical and theoretical training, demonstrate baking techniques, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, and prepare students for employment in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and practical bakery training sessions.
- Teach bakery fundamentals, including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, desserts, and confectionery.
- Demonstrate bakery techniques and supervise practical activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, training schedules, and instructional materials.
- Assess students through practical demonstrations, assignments, and written tests.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain bakery equipment, tools, and training laboratories.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and discipline.
- Guide students in improving technical, communication, and workplace skills.
- Organize practical examinations and maintain student records.
- Assist students with internships and placement preparation.
- Stay updated with current bakery trends, recipes, and industry practices.
- Follow the institute's academic policies and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Bakery & Confectionery, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in bakery production or bakery training.
- Experience in teaching or vocational training is preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of bakery and pastry production.
- Excellent practical demonstration skills.
- Good communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene practices.
- Classroom and student management skills.
- Ability to prepare lesson plans and conduct assessments.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, presentations).
Preferred Experience
- Experience in vocational training institutes, hotel management colleges, or hospitality training centers.
- Industry experience in hotels, bakeries, pastry shops, or food production units.
Working Hours
- Full-time
- Monday to Saturday
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (or as per institute requirements)
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
