COSTING ACCOUNTANT / EXECUTIVE – JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose
To prepare and maintain accurate product costing, monitor production costs, analyze cost variations, and provide timely costing information to management for pricing and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare product-wise and process-wise costing based on raw materials, production expenses, labour, overheads, utilities, and other costs.
- Calculate fabric/process costing including dyeing, processing, finishing, and other production activities.
- Collect and verify raw material, chemical, dye, packing, labour, power, fuel, and other consumption data.
- Prepare cost sheets, cost statements, and cost comparison reports.
- Monitor actual cost against standard/budgeted cost and identify cost variances.
- Analyze production wastage, rejection, rework, and process loss and their impact on costing.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Planning, and Accounts departments to obtain accurate cost information.
- Verify purchase prices and update costing based on changes in material and operating costs.
- Assist in determining selling prices and profit margins for products/orders.
- Maintain customer/order-wise costing and profitability records.
- Prepare monthly costing and management reports.
- Verify production quantities, material consumption, stock movements, and relevant accounting entries.
- Support month-end closing by providing accurate cost-related information.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure costing data is accurate, confidential, and updated on time.
- Perform other finance and costing-related duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of cost accounting and management accounting.
- Knowledge of manufacturing/textile costing is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
- Ability to prepare and analyze cost sheets and variance reports.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work within deadlines.
Educational Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CMA (Inter) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in costing/accounts, preferably in a textile or manufacturing company.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
