Job Description – Instrumentation Technician (Gas Turbine Shutdown)
Position: Instrumentation Technician
Location: Saudi Arabia
Project Duration: 1-Month Shutdown
Salary: SAR 2,200 + SAR 300 Food Allowance
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems during gas turbine shutdown activities.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain field instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Maintain and test control valves, actuators, positioners, switches, gauges, and other instrumentation equipment.
- Carry out loop checking, signal testing, and functional testing of instrumentation systems.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
- Identify and rectify instrumentation faults to ensure reliable plant operation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and client standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance teams to complete shutdown work within the scheduled timeline.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician.
- Mandatory experience in Gas Turbine maintenance/shutdown projects.
- Experience working on gas turbine instrumentation systems in power plants is essential.
- ITI / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of instrument calibration, loop checking, control valves, transmitters, and PLC/DCS systems is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and instrumentation documents.
- Physically fit to work in an industrial shutdown environment.
