Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Sewing Supervisor to oversee daily sewing operations in our garment manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sewing lines, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth workforce coordination on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily sewing line operations and ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor and achieve daily production targets as per planning requirements.
- Track line efficiency and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Allocate operators and helpers effectively based on production needs.
- Coordinate with Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality, Cutting, and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the sewing process.
- Monitor and reduce garment defects, rework, and rejection levels.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and teamwork among sewing operators.
- Prepare and submit daily production reports to the Production Manager.
- Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and 5S practices on the production floor.
- Train and guide operators to improve productivity and quality performance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment sewing operations and production processes.
- Experience in handling sewing operators, helpers, and line leaders.
- Ability to manage production lines efficiently and meet targets.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel and production reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass) / Diploma.
- Diploma or certification in Textile, Garment Technology, or related field extra benefit.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sewing Supervisor in a garment manufacturing unit.
