Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, empathetic, and vigilant Warden to manage our residential facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, discipline, and overall well-being of the residents (students/working professionals). You will serve as the primary point of contact for residential grievances, emergency situations, and daily operational administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Welfare & Safety: Ensure a safe, clean, and secure living environment for all residents. Monitor entry and exit logs strictly.
- Daily Administration: Oversee daily hostel operations, including room allocations, maintenance requests, and coordinating with housekeeping and catering staff.
- Discipline & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and curfew timings firmly but with empathy.
- Emergency Handling: Act as the first responder for medical emergencies, conflicts, or security issues, ensuring immediate escalation to management or medical professionals when necessary.
- Counseling & Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, helping them adjust to community living.
- Inventory & Reporting: Maintain accurate registers (attendance, leaves, complaints, and assets) and submit regular reports to the management.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (degrees in Sociology, Psychology, or Hospitality management are a plus).
- Experience: Prior experience (2+ years) working as a warden, hostel supervisor, or in a similar residential management role is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong crisis-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Email) for record-keeping.
- Availability: Must be willing to reside on-campus/in the hostel premises (accommodation will be provided).
