Role Summary
The Design Head will lead the complete HVAC, AHU, ducting, air-control, air-distribution and cleanroom design function and provide technical leadership from project enquiry/award through engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
The person will be responsible for design accuracy, technical compliance, engineering timelines, team development and coordination with customers, consultants, production, projects and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete Design & Engineering Department.
- Review project technical specifications, BOQ, tender documents and customer requirements.
- Establish design standards, engineering procedures and design review processes.
- Review and approve HVAC system designs and calculations.
- Review:
- AHU selections and configurations
- HVAC load calculations
- Airflow calculations
- Duct sizing
- Static pressure calculations
- Pressure-drop calculations
- Cleanroom classifications
- HEPA filtration requirements
- Air changes
- Temperature and humidity requirements
- Differential pressure
- Air distribution
- Review HVAC and cleanroom layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable customer specifications, GMP requirements and relevant standards.
- Coordinate with customers and consultants for technical approvals.
- Lead technical discussions and resolve design-related issues.
- Coordinate closely with Production for manufacturability of AHUs, ducting and other products.
- Coordinate with Projects for site requirements and installation constraints.
- Review design changes and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
- Establish and maintain standard design templates, drawings and engineering calculations.
- Develop product improvements and standardization initiatives.
- Mentor and train Design Engineers, Jr. Design Engineers and Draughtsmen.
- Ensure timely release of approved drawings for manufacturing and site execution.
- Review and approve final/as-built drawings.
- Support estimation and tender teams with technical inputs.
- Participate in customer and consultant meetings when required.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
