Department: Finance Location: Vasai Experience: Minimum 3 Years Reporting To: GM – Finance Role Summary The Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost audit compliance, material and labour cost analysis, overhead monitoring, product costing, budgeting support, and cost optimization across Brandworks’ manufacturing operations. The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate cost reporting, MIS, and data-driven decision-making for management. Key Responsibilities 1. Cost Audit & Compliance Prepare and complete cost audit reports as per statutory requirements. Coordinate with statutory/cost auditors and internal teams to provide accurate data and clarifications. 2. Material Cost Analysis & Control Analyse material consumption, variances, and wastage across operations. Identify and support implementation of cost-saving initiatives with procurement and production teams. 3. Labour Costing & Efficiency Reporting Track direct and indirect labour costs, productivity, efficiency, idle time, and overtime. Prepare weekly labour efficiency and productivity reports. 4. Overheads Analysis & Monitoring Monitor manufacturing, administrative, and selling overheads by cost centre. Benchmark against budgets/standards and highlight abnormal variances with recommendations. 5. Cost Improvement & Action Tracking Collaborate with operations, SCM, and production to identify cost-reduction opportunities. Track improvement projects and quantify savings achieved. 6. Product Costing & Profitability Prepare accurate product costing sheets for all SKUs. Support pricing decisions, margin analysis, and product mix optimisation. 7. Management Reporting & MIS Provide timely MIS on cost trends, variances, and cost KPIs. Develop dashboards for management review. 8. Budgetary Control & Forecasting Assist in annual budgets, cost forecasts, and standard costing. Provide monthly variance analysis with actionable insights.
