About the role
OGS India is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong accounting and analytical skills to help support the business finance teams that continues to deliver strong financial performance. This might be a great fit if you have a strong flair of analytical and accounting skills and would like to be part of a growing team. You will be closely working with our Global Agency Finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance team in creating financial templates as a part of overall P&L standardization efforts

Provide support as new processes are coordinated and identify process improvement opportunities.

Cost Analysis, Head count analysis etc.

Maintain business teams’ P&Ls; collaborate closely with business partners in managing the financials of the account, flagging variances and out-of-ordinary transactions

Manage month-end close activities for certain areas including recording JEs and accruals

Perform a variety of financial analyses to determine financial health compared to Budget as directed by the Finance Manager.

Assist in regular FP&A consolidation activities including but not limited to template creation and commentary collection

Act as finance support for various operational initiatives, new tool implementations, global policy rollouts, etc.

Assist in other finance activities such as timesheet reporting, invoice/PO creation, billing queries and data entry.

Build trusted relationships with department heads and key business partners to assist in analyzing and tracking scopes.
Qualifications:
- 3 years minimum FP&A experience in an Accounting/Finance department.

BS/BA/BCOM in Finance or Accounting is required.

Strong competency in quantitative analysis and presentations with advanced skills in both Excel (i.e. creating macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.) and PowerPoint, and experience with SAP and Hyperion

Must have a collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment with a high sense of urgency, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Independent thinker and takes initiative in problem-solving

Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner is required.

Experience in the advertising/media industry preferred but not required.

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with skills in SAP/R3, Oracle Hyperion and MS PowerBI being very beneficial.
