Core Responsibilities
- Team Supervision
- Lead and coordinate a team of technicians, mechanics, or assembly workers
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
- Production & Operations
- Ensure production targets or service deadlines are met
- Maintain workflow efficiency on the shop floor or service bay
- Quality Control
- Check that vehicles or components meet quality standards
- Identify defects and ensure corrective actions
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety rules
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure use of protective equipment
- Training & Development
- Train new employees
- Provide ongoing coaching to improve team skills
- Problem Solving
- Handle technical issues, breakdowns, or delays
- Coordinate with engineers or senior management when needed
- Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on productivity, quality, and issues
- Maintain records of work completed
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and communication
- Good knowledge of automobile systems (engines, electrical, etc.)
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Time management and multitasking
- Basic computer skills (for reporting and tracking systems)
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience (typically 3–7 years) in automotive production or service
- Prior supervisory experience is often preferred
