Research & Outreach Intern – Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)

Stipend: Performance-based (Fixed stipend + incentives may be offered to exceptional candidates)
About the Role
We are conducting a multi-state research study on Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across India to understand their challenges, business models, governance, finance, market linkages, and growth opportunities.
This internship provides an opportunity to directly interact with FPO CEOs, Directors, Chairpersons, and rural entrepreneurs while contributing to meaningful research that can influence future advisory projects and policy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact FPOs through telephone, WhatsApp, email, and LinkedIn.
- Schedule and conduct structured interviews with FPO representatives.
- Collect accurate responses using a research questionnaire.
- Record qualitative insights beyond the questionnaire.
- Build and maintain relationships with FPOs in your assigned state.
- Coordinate follow-up calls wherever required.
- Maintain interview records and submit weekly progress reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Final-year students or graduates in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Management, MBA (Agri), Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language of the assigned state.
- Comfortable speaking with professionals over phone.
- Basic knowledge of agriculture or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Google Forms, Excel, and online communication tools.
