Job Title: Business Development Manager – Domestic (India) Work Location: Kolkata / Delhi / Mumbai / Bangalore (Open to candidates across India; travel required as per business needs) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead domestic market expansion and client acquisition initiatives across India. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in generating and closing B2B deals within the Indian service-based IT or digital solutions industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, nurturing long-term partnerships, and representing the company in key business engagements across regions. Key Responsibilities 1. New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across diverse sectors, including technology, digital transformation, software development, and managed services. Develop a structured lead pipeline and manage end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to closure. Prepare persuasive proposals, commercial offers, and detailed project briefs in collaboration with technical and pre-sales teams. 2. Client Relationship Management:t Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients across Tier 1 and Tier-2 Indian markets. Conduct regular business reviews, client feedback sessions, and strategic account planning to drive retention and up-sell opportunities. 3. Market Strategy & Expansion Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, pricing patterns, and emerging service demands. Support the formulation of region-specific growth strategies (North, South, East, and West India) to meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives. 4. Collaboration & Reporting Collaborate with delivery, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and progress reports on revenue generation and pipeline status. Represent the organisation at conferences, trade events, and client meetings to promote brand visibility. Required Qualifications & Experience ce: 5–10 years of experience in business development or B2B sales within a service-based IT, software, or digital solutions company. Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in closing medium to large-scale Indian projects (B2B or institutional). Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of project-based sales cycles, outsourcing models, and solution-driven engagements. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, along with fluency in at least one regional language (e.g., Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, or Telugu). Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities. Ability to travel frequently across cities for client meetings and industry events. High level of self-motivation, accountability, and target orientation. Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and Microsoft Office tools. Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with CXOs, procurement heads, and decision-makers. Preferred Attributes : Exposure to technology-driven sales environments (e.g., web/app development, AI/ML, digital transformation, or IT consulting). Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated analytical thinking with the ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions.
