Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced OT Nurse to assist in surgical procedures and ensure smooth functioning of the operation theatre with strict adherence to sterility and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operation theatre setup before surgeries
- Assist surgeons during procedures (scrub / circulating roles)
- Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and OT environment
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment efficiently
- Monitor patient condition pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Maintain OT records, checklists, and documentation
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and OT technicians
Requirements
- GNM / BSc Nursing qualification
- Minimum 3–4 years of OT experience (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
- Experience assisting in major and minor surgeries
- Ability to work under pressure in critical situations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in General Surgery / Laparoscopic / Orthopedic procedures
- Familiarity with OT equipment (cautery, suction, monitors, etc.)
- Ability to independently manage OT workflow
