We are looking for a practical and responsible Shop Operations Manager for our mandi / wholesale / trading shop and godown business.
This is an active shop-floor role, not a sitting office job. The work environment is mandi / shop / godown type. The business is good and has strong profit potential, but the candidate must be comfortable handling staff, customers, labour, loading/unloading, stock movement, cash/credit sales and daily shop pressure.
The selected person will help us implement and control a proper billing, stock and MIS system at shop level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily shop and godown operations
- Supervise billing counter, loading, unloading, dispatch and stock movement
- Ensure every sale is properly billed in the system
- Ensure goods received are properly entered in ERP / billing software
- Coordinate with computer accountant / billing operator
- Track daily sales, collections, stock and outstanding balances
- Monitor customer orders, pending payments and supplier payments
- Control staff discipline and stop loose manual work
- Identify stock mismatch, pending entries and wrong billing
- Help implement proper billing, stock and MIS process
- Send daily report to owner / management
ERP / MIS Responsibilities:
- Daily sales report
- Daily collection report
- Stock report
- Customer outstanding report
- Supplier payable report
- Pending order / delivery report
- Stock mismatch report
- Staff-wise pending work report
Required Candidate Profile:
- Experience in mandi, wholesale, trading shop, FMCG distribution, kirana wholesale, hardware shop, building material, fruit/vegetable, agri trading, godown or similar business
- Must be active on the shop floor
- Should understand stock, cash, credit sales, customer handling and staff management
- Basic knowledge of ERP / billing software / inventory software preferred
- Excel knowledge preferred
- Must be honest, strict, stable and disciplined
- Should be able to handle existing staff and implement a new system
- Rajasthan / Delhi mandi / wholesale trading background preferred
- Candidate should be open to working in Assam
This is not only a data entry job and not only an accounting job. The person must manage shop-floor operations and use ERP/MIS reports for daily control.
