Work you’ll do:
In this unique and interesting role, you will provide specialized support and guidance for Deloitte Global’s Office of Confidentiality and Privacy by:
- Assessing and advising on data risk elements of Deloitte Global business processes, services, and technologies
- Assisting business and technology teams with incorporating data/privacy by design techniques and principles into business processes and technologies
- Acting as a trusted advisor with business and technology teams, as well as member firm stakeholders, to provide data risk consult and guidance
- Manage ongoing privacy compliance and consultative activities with an eye towards creating process efficiencies wherever possible
- Documenting assessments (e.g., Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Record of Processing Activities) used by stakeholders to understand and inform data risk management strategies
- Assisting service teams to identify appropriate risk treatment options and providing meticulous record keeping of risks in the Risk Management Log that were flagged throughout the privacy by design assessment lifecycle
- Assisting with tracking and management of issue and question resolution and transferring risk documentation to the Technology Risk Management team at the end of a privacy by design assessment
- Working with a supporting team with experience in the fields of risk, privacy, confidentiality, and technology
- Managing a portfolio of assessments or consultations with competing demands and project deadlines
- Helping to prepare guidance documents on privacy matters regarding processes and technology
You will be expected to collaborate with Deloitte firms, business leaders, and various stakeholders to conduct data risk assessments and provide guidance for business processes, services and technologies across Deloitte Global. You will bring strategic, operational, and relationship management skills, as well as subject matter expertise of privacy by design and data risk principles.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, there are certain skills you should ideally have.
- At least five (5) years of related experience with relevant or transferable knowledge
- Experience documenting related privacy assessments (e.g., Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Record of Processing Activities)
- Ability to build credibility and trust across all stakeholder groups
- Excellent English written/verbal communication skills
- An ability to question, analyze and interpret information of a business or technical nature
- High-level understanding of technology and security issues impacting privacy programs
- Successful prioritization and navigation of sometimes challenging deadlines
- Excellent program management skills: proven ability to help drive issues to resolution, strong independent judgement, and ability to evaluate risk
- Detailed understanding of data privacy regulations
- Can demonstrate a curiosity of technology and latest technology trends (e.g., Artificial Intelligence)
- Demonstrable command of the MS Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good people management skills, can build relationships, networks and influence others
- Attention to details in terms of record keeping, follow up and tracking progress of issues and queries
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Like working in an international environment working with global stakeholders
- Keen to continue learning through self-study and knowledge sharing
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Privacy experience required. Compliance, Risk, Client Confidentiality, Audit, Legal and/or Technology is also helpful, but not a prerequisite
- Experience and strong understanding of privacy by design concepts, tools, and methodologies
- Knowledge of GDPR and similar constructs of privacy and data protection
- Experience in conducting assessments (e.g., PIAs, DPIAs) on data assets and business processes
- Privacy certification desirable (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM)
- Experience working with risk frameworks and risk evaluation is desirable
- Knowledge of DevOps, SAFe Agile, Project Management desirable
