Maintenance Engineer – Injection Moulding
Department Maintenance
Location-Hindupur / Sikandrabad / Jammu
Reports To- Factory Manager
Experience- 8 Years +
Industry Preference- Injection Moulding / Plastic Packaging / Manufacturing
Qualification- Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical / CIPET

Job Purpose
To ensure smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown handling of Injection Moulding Machines and allied utilities with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of Injection Moulding Machines (IMM).
· Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical faults in IMM and auxiliary equipment.
· Maintain utilities such as Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Electrical Panels, DG Sets, and Material Handling Systems.
· Ensure minimum machine downtime and improve machine efficiency through planned maintenance activities.
· Attend emergency breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) to avoid repeat failures.
· Work on PLC systems, sensors, drives, temperature controllers, and electrical circuits related to IMM operations.
· Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements for productivity enhancement.
· Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, spare consumption, and machine history.
· Coordinate with production and tool room teams for smooth machine operations and mould trials.
· Ensure availability and proper inventory management of critical maintenance spares.
· Supervise technicians, contractors, and external service providers during maintenance activities.
· Follow all safety standards, statutory compliance requirements, and plant maintenance SOPs.
· Support installation, commissioning, and shifting of new machines and utilities.
Technical Skills Required
· Strong knowledge of Injection Moulding Machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, servo systems, heaters, and barrel assemblies.
· Knowledge of PLC handling, electrical wiring, control panels, VFDs, and automation systems.
· Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams, hydraulic drawings, and machine manuals.
· Experience in preventive maintenance planning and spare management.
· Basic computer knowledge including MS Office, SAP/ERP systems preferred.
