Role Overview:
The Category Manager will be responsible for owning and growing a specific education category, product portfolio, or learner segment. The role will involve developing category strategy, driving revenue and profitability, analyzing market and customer trends, managing the product portfolio, and working cross-functionally to deliver business growth.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in category management, business growth, product strategy, sales, marketing, and P&L ownership, preferably within EdTech, Education, SaaS, or consumer businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the overall strategy and business performance of the assigned category.
- Develop annual and quarterly category plans aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Drive revenue, enrollments, profitability, and market share for the category.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and optimize the category/product portfolio based on market demand and learner insights.
- Work closely with Product and Academic teams to develop, improve, and launch courses and learning programs.
- Define pricing, packaging, promotions, discounts, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
- Identify opportunities for new products, courses, segments, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Monitor the complete category funnel, including traffic, leads, conversions, enrollments, revenue, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and improve category performance.
- Develop and monitor category-level P&L, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Track competitor activities, pricing, campaigns, positioning, and product launches.
- Lead cross-functional projects related to category growth and new initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate category performance to senior management.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Ensure the category maintains strong value proposition, positioning, and differentiation in the market.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
