We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy in accounting records, and support financial reporting and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Prepare tax returns, GST/VAT filings, and other statutory reports as required.
- Review and reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
