Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in machine maintenance and fabrication work. The candidate should have practical knowledge of welding, drilling, cutting, and grinding machines and be capable of handling routine maintenance, machine repairs, and fabrication jobs to ensure smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimize machine downtime.
- Perform welding and fabrication work for machine repairs and modifications.
- Operate drilling machines for maintenance and fabrication activities.
- Handle cutting machines and gas-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use grinding machines for finishing, shaping, and repair work.
- Repair and replace damaged machine parts, structures, and components.
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and shifting of machinery.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, gearbox, bearing, and motor systems.
- Ensure proper lubrication and routine inspection of machines.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards in the maintenance area.
- Maintain daily maintenance records and report major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualification
- ITI Fitter / Welder / Turner / Mechanical Trade.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1 to 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in manufacturing industries.
- Experience in ACP Sheet, HPL Sheet, Plywood, Laminate, Plastic, Packaging, Chemical, or Engineering industries preferred.
Required Skills
- Understanding of mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and machine manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Teamwork and communication abilities.
