Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and connection details for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Develop and maintain 2D drawings and 3D structural models in coordination with architectural, MEP, and civil teams.
Prepare general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
Review and check drawings produced by junior draftsmen for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret design calculations, sketches, and mark-ups, and incorporate design changes efficiently.
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, local codes), and project requirements.
Coordinate with fabricators, contractors, and site teams to resolve drawing-related queries during construction.
Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and document management systems.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior structural draftsmen.
Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and clash detection sessions as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and workflows.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in structural drafting/detailing (senior-level experience preferred).
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and preferably Tekla Structures, SDS/2, or similar BIM/3D modeling software.
Solid understanding of structural systems (steel frames, reinforced concrete, foundations, connections, etc.).
Experience preparing fabrication and shop drawings for steel and/or concrete structures.
Knowledge of relevant structural design codes and drafting standards.
Excellent attention to detail, spatial visualization, and ability to work from engineering sketches and calculations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
