Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Services Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to designing and developing high-quality software features that enhance the experience of credit card consumers across diverse segments.
You will work in a self-organized, agile team environment, aligning with the vision and goals defined by Product Management and leadership. Your primary focus will be on building and enhancing key components, feature sets, or mid-sized applications/services.
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions
- Contribute to major components or feature areas within the team’s applications
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and cross-functional engineering teams
- Drive innovation within your team and contribute to your technical domain
- Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality, scalable applications
- Strong programming expertise in modern object-oriented languages (preferably Java)
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles, SOA, HTTP, and REST APIs
- Experience in designing and building APIs
- Strong interest in cloud technologies, especially AWS
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams
- Advocate for quality engineering practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, and BDD
- Hands-on experience with AWS/cloud-based solutions
- Experience solving real-world business problems in complex environments
- Exposure to working in regulated industries
