JOB DESCRIPTION – WARD STAFF NURSE
Department: Nursing / Inpatient Services
Designation: Ward Staff Nurse
Reporting To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge
Employment Type: Full-Time | Rotational Shifts
Job Summary
Responsible for providing safe, compassionate and patient-centered nursing care to admitted patients, ensuring effective treatment delivery, continuous monitoring, accurate documentation and coordination with the medical and multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per individual care plans and clinical requirements.
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient condition and treatment progress.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and patient assessments.
- Identify changes in patient condition and promptly escalate to the doctor/Ward In-Charge.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, patient records and shift handovers.
- Ensure proper patient identification, medication safety and fall-prevention practices.
- Follow infection prevention, hand hygiene and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding medication, hygiene, diet and prescribed care.
- Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, dieticians, pharmacy, laboratory and other departments.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and availability of ward equipment and nursing supplies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
Qualification & Experience
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Nursing Council registration.
- 1–3 years of hospital/ward nursing experience preferred.
- Freshers may be considered based on organizational requirements.

Pay: From ₹300,000.00 per month
