Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Sales Engineer to drive our residential solar sales under the central government’s PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the solar field, with a deep understanding of on-grid rooftop systems, net metering, and the government subsidy process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Proactively identify and engage residential homeowners in the Chennai region to promote rooftop solar solutions.
- Site Surveys: Conduct initial technical site assessments to check roof health, shadow-free area, and electrical infrastructure.
- Technical Consulting: Explain the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar scheme, including the 300 units of free electricity and the ₹30,000 to ₹78,000 subsidy structure.
- Documentation: Assist customers in the PM Surya Ghar portal registration, subsidy application, and loan processing.
- Liaison: Coordinate with DISCOMs (TANGEDCO) for feasibility approvals and net metering integration.
- Target Achievement: Meet monthly sales and installation targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 years of proven sales experience in the Solar Energy field (specifically Residential/ B2C).
- Education: BE/B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics) or Diploma in Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of On-Grid systems, Invertersand Net Metering.
- Scheme Expertise: Familiarity with the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana portal and TNEB net metering procedures.
- Language: Fluency in Tamil and English is mandatory for the Chennai market.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and CRM management skills.
