UI Architect
About the role
This is a principal-level role. You'll set the frontend technical direction for our web products across Organization. Owning architecture, performance, reliability, and the quality bar. Much of this work happens through influence: clear standards, strong reference implementations. This is a technical leadership role and people management is not the primary focus.
What You'll Do
Architecture & Strategy

Define and drive the frontend architecture roadmap across the organization.

Establish standards, design patterns, and best practices for scalable and maintainable UI development.

Create technical design documentation for major architectural decisions and cross-functional initiatives.

Lead architecture reviews and drive alignment across multiple engineering teams.
Platform & Engineering Excellence

Lead large-scale frontend initiatives including platform modernization, framework upgrades, and UI re-architecture.

Drive adoption of reusable component libraries, design systems, and shared engineering standards.

Partner with backend and platform teams to define scalable integration patterns.
Performance, Reliability & Security

Define frontend performance, observability, reliability, and accessibility standards.

Establish strategies for monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.

Drive frontend security standards covering authentication, authorization, SSO, OIDC/OAuth, CSP, and secure development practices.
AI & Technical Leadership

Define best practices for AI-assisted software development, including code generation, reviews, testing, and modernization.

Mentor senior engineers and technical leads through architecture reviews and technical guidance.

Evaluate emerging technologies and make informed build-vs-buy decisions based on scalability, maintainability, and business value.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's or master's in computer science or a related field , or equivalent experience.

10+ years in frontend/web engineering, including demonstrated Principal or Staff-level scope with impact across multiple teams.

Deep expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and your primary framework (React, Angular, etc.) at scale, including advanced TypeScript.

Proven track record designing large-scale UI systems and running incremental migrations.

Strong system design, performance profiling, and accessibility expertise.

Excellent technical communication and a track record of influence without authority.

Hands-on use of AI/LLM tooling in the development workflow.
Preferred
-
Experience building B2B SaaS products and multi-tenant platforms.

Familiarity with RBAC, feature entitlements, enterprise workflows, and design systems.

Experience driving frontend modernization and organizational engineering standards.
