About the role
LaunchBridge Global Ltd is managing recruitment on behalf of Janani Community Development Foundation for its publication sales and community outreach team in Thiruvananthapuram.
We are looking for confident, responsible and hardworking Field Sales Executives to promote and sell monthly magazines, educational comic books and other publications.
This is a fully field-based, target-oriented position. Employees will work in allocated residential areas, community locations, events and authorised public or commercial locations within Thiruvananthapuram.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell magazines, comic books and other publications.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in allocated residential areas.
- Engage with customers at approved community and public locations.
- Clearly explain the content and value of the publications.
- Work towards daily and monthly sales targets after training.
- Maintain accurate records of publications received, sold and returned.
- Collect payments only through authorised payment methods.
- Submit daily sales, stock and payment reports.
- Return unsold stock and reconcile collections at the end of the day.
- Maintain professional and respectful behaviour while representing the organisation.
- Collect customer feedback and report common interests or concerns.
- Follow all safety, customer-service and field-working instructions.
Candidate requirements
- Minimum qualification: Plus Two/Higher Secondary.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Fluent spoken Malayalam is mandatory.
- Basic English reading and communication skills.
- Comfortable with outdoor and door-to-door sales.
- Confident and polite when speaking with members of the public.
- Willing to travel locally within Thiruvananthapuram.
- Own smartphone with WhatsApp and mobile internet.
- Able to use digital payments and simple online reporting forms.
- Honest and responsible when handling stock and payments.
- Familiarity with Thiruvananthapuram city or district is preferred.
Previous experience in field sales, retail, newspaper subscriptions, FMCG, customer service or community outreach is an advantage but is not compulsory.
Transport
A driving licence or personal motorbike is not mandatory. Candidates may use public transport to reach allocated work areas. Approved local travel and mobile expenses will be reimbursed according to organisational policy.
Working conditions
- Full-time field-based role.
- Monday to Saturday.
- Daytime working schedule.
- Local travel within Thiruvananthapuram is required.
- Regular overnight or outstation travel is not required.
- Employees may work individually or in teams depending on the location and safety requirements.
- Training, identification and basic sales materials will be provided.
Compensation
- Fixed salary: ₹17,000 per month
- Travel and mobile reimbursement: Up to ₹1,500 per month, subject to policy
- Additional performance-based incentives
The incentive structure and performance targets will be explained during training and onboarding.
Contract and progression
The initial appointment will be for three months. The contract may be extended based on:
- Attendance and punctuality
- Conduct and reliability
- Sales performance
- Accuracy of stock and payment records
- Customer feedback
- Organisational requirements
