Job Title: PGT English Teacher (CBSE) – Grades 8 to 12
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced PGT English Teacher to teach students from Grades 8 to 12 (CBSE curriculum). The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire students to develop their language, literature, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature to students from Grades 8 to 12 following the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Foster reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills among students.
- Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations through effective revision and exam-oriented guidance.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into classroom instruction.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with coordinators and fellow teachers to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to the overall academic excellence of the institution.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree (M.A. in English) from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Mandatory.
- 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school, preferably teaching Grades 8 to 12.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.
Preferred Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns.
- Ability to motivate and mentor students.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
Experience: 3–5 years (CBSE School preferred)
