Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the household chef in a private family residence. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen. This role is suitable for someone who is organized, trustworthy, and passionate about working in a professional home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the chef with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
- Clean and maintain kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas
- Wash dishes and ensure the kitchen remains neat and organized
- Store ingredients and supplies properly
- Help with receiving and checking grocery deliveries
- Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness at all times
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the chef during meal preparation and service
- Perform any other kitchen-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Helper, or Steward
- Experience in private households, hotels, or restaurants is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently and take instructions from the chef
- Honest, reliable, and disciplined
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Flexible to work as per the family's schedule
Pay: ₹18,086.00 - ₹32,755.92 per month
