Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data engineering solutions using modern cloud data technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, SQL, PySpark, DBT, and ETL, along with a good understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in data engineering environments.The candidate will work closely with data architects, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Develop efficient and optimized data solutions using Snowflake.
- Write complex and performance-optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformations.
- Develop data processing applications using Python and PySpark.
- Build and maintain transformation workflows using DBT.
- Perform data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, validation, and integration across multiple source systems.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data within Snowflake.
- Implement incremental data loading, data transformation, and data quality frameworks.
- Optimize Snowflake queries, warehouses, tables, and data models for performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop reusable and modular DBT models, tests, documentation, and transformation logic.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, and data quality problems.
- Implement appropriate data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineering teams to implement scalable data architecture.
- Work with large volumes of data and ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines.
- Participate in the development and integration of AI/ML-enabled data solutions.
- Understand AI/ML data requirements and support data preparation, feature engineering, and data pipelines for AI/ML use cases.
- Follow best practices related to data security, governance, quality, and access management.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Snowflake – Strong hands-on experience
- Python – Strong programming/scripting skills
- SQL – Advanced SQL and query optimization
- PySpark – Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing
- DBT – Data transformation and modeling
- ETL/ELT – Strong understanding and implementation experience
- AI – Understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines for AI/ML, or GenAI-related data use cases
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
- Some experience in Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or AI/ML pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
