Job Summary
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Toy Designer who is passionate about designing engaging and developmental toys for children aged 0–12 years. The ideal candidate should be:

● Focused on creating learning-focused toys for early childhood You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and developing innovative STEM, sensory, Montessori, and educational toys that combine functionality, child engagement, safety, and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Product Concept Development
● Design engaging and age-appropriate toys for children (0–5 years).
● Develop innovative toy concepts focused on learning, creativity, and play value.
● Create STEM, sensory, educational, and developmental toy concepts.
● Balance functionality, engagement, and aesthetics in all product designs.
Research & Insights
● Research child behavior, developmental milestones, and play patterns.
● Analyze market trends, competitor products, and consumer feedback.
● Study Montessori and early learning methodologies to inform design.
Design Execution
● Create sketches, technical drawings, CAD models, and prototypes.
● Prepare detailed product specifications, dimensions, and material requirements.
● Develop both single toys and complete toy concepts.
Prototype Development
● Build physical and digital prototypes for testing and validation.
● Conduct usability testing to evaluate play value and developmental benefits.
● Refine designs based on testing and feedback.
Manufacturing Coordination
● Collaborate with mould, engineering, production, and packaging teams.
● Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
● Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners for execution.
Quality & Compliance
● Ensure products meet toy safety standards and usability requirements.
● Select child-safe and durable materials.
● Improve existing products based on customer reviews and market feedback.
Required Skills
Core Design Skills
● Strong product design and toy concept development skills.
● Excellent sketching, ideation, and visualization abilities.
● Ability to design engaging STEM, sensory, and educational toys.
● Strong creativity with a focus on functionality and child engagement.
● Hands-on problem-solving and design thinking approach.
Child Development Knowledge
● Understanding of early childhood behavior and developmental play (0–5 years).
● Knowledge of age-appropriate design principles.
● Familiarity with Montessori, STEM, and sensory play concepts.
Technical Knowledge
● Prototype development and model-making skills.
● Knowledge of materials, moulding, and manufacturing processes.
● Understanding of ergonomics, toy safety, and usability standards.
Collaboration Skills
● Ability to work closely with production, engineering, and packaging teams.
● Strong communication and presentation skills.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Software Skills (Preferred)
● SolidWorks

Bonus Skills
● Experience in toy design, educational products, kids furniture, or children’s products.
● Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly manufacturing.
● Experience with Montessori-based learning products.
Educational Qualification
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Toy Design, or a related field.
● Graduates from institutes such as National Institute of Design, Indian Institute of Technology, or equivalent design institutes are preferred.
