Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and proactive Primary Teacher to work with children in the Wings Project. The teacher will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging learning sessions, adapting teaching methods to individual needs, and helping children build the academic, social, and functional skills required for success in school and everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and small-group teaching sessions.
- Teach foundational academic skills including reading, writing, language, mathematics, and general knowledge.
- Support school readiness and classroom participation skills.
- Incorporate social skills, life skills, and independence goals into daily teaching activities.
- Modify lesson plans and teaching strategies based on each child's abilities and learning style.
- Create engaging, activity-based learning experiences.
- Maintain session records, progress notes, and student portfolios.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and parents to ensure consistent goal achievement.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and program development initiatives.
- Assist in developing educational materials, worksheets, and classroom resources.
- Promote positive behavior, communication, and emotional regulation within sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.), Special Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience working with children, preferably in educational, special education, or therapy settings.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs.
- Passion for child development and inclusive education.
- Willingness to learn and work within a multidisciplinary team.
