Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Engineer with 7+ years of experience in embedded software development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Embedded Linux, C/C++, Python, board bring-up, bootloader development, and hardware interface protocols. You will work closely with hardware and software teams to develop, debug, and optimize embedded systems for high-performance products.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain embedded software using C, C++, and Python.
* Perform board bring-up, hardware initialization, and system-level debugging.
* Develop, customize, and debug bootloaders such as U-Boot.
* Work with hardware communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and PCIe.
* Develop and debug Linux device drivers and kernel-level components.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues.
* Collaborate with hardware, validation, and cross-functional engineering teams.
* Optimize system performance, reliability, and boot time.
* Create technical documentation and support product development throughout the lifecycle.
Required Skills
* 7+ years of experience in Embedded Systems development.
* Strong programming skills in **C, C++, and Python**.
* Hands-on experience with **Embedded Linux** and Linux kernel concepts.
* Strong knowledge of **I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe**, and other hardware communication protocols.
* Experience with **board bring-up**, BSP development, and hardware debugging.
* Hands-on experience with **U-Boot/Bootloader** and system boot processes.
* Good understanding of networking concepts such as **TCP/IP, Ethernet, and UDP**.
* Experience with debugging tools such as **GDB, JTAG, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes**.
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, or other embedded Linux build systems.
* Knowledge of ARM-based processors and SoCs.
* Exposure to device driver development and Device Tree configuration.
* Experience working with networking, IoT, semiconductor, automotive, or industrial embedded systems.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bengaluru, Karnataka (Bengaluru Urban District): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
