Plant Operator – Government Medical College/Hospital
Qualification:
- ITI in Fitter / Mechanical / Electrician from a Government/recognized ITI.
- Minimum 0–3 years relevant experience in operation and maintenance of hospital/industrial utility plants preferred or Fresher can apply.
- Candidates with experience in hospital maintenance/medical college facilities will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation and routine monitoring of electrical, mechanical and utility systems.
- Operation and maintenance of DG sets, pumps, compressors
- Monitoring of Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS), including oxygen, medical air, vacuum and other medical gases, where applicable.
- Check pressure, temperature, voltage, current and other operating parameters.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance/service teams.
- Maintain daily logbooks, equipment readings, breakdown reports and maintenance records.
- Follow hospital safety procedures, electrical safety rules and permit-to-work procedures.
- Report abnormal conditions, equipment failures and safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, Sundays and holidays as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, compressors, valves, pipelines and basic electrical panels.
- Basic knowledge of hospital utility systems and MGPS is an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and respond quickly during emergencies.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintenance records.
