Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Turner role based in Panchkula. The Turner will operate and maintain lathe machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include setting up machines, selecting and installing tools, measuring materials, and performing turning operations to achieve accurate dimensions and finishes. The role involves inspecting finished parts for quality, performing basic machine maintenance, and following safety guidelines and shop procedures. The Turner will collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets and ensure timely delivery of machined parts. Qualifications Strong proficiency in operating lathe machines and using basic hand tools and measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, machining sketches, and work instructions. Knowledge of machining processes, materials, tolerances, and surface finishes relevant to turning operations. Attention to detail with a focus on quality control, dimensional accuracy, and safe working practices. Prior experience as a Turner or in a similar machining role; ITI or vocational training in Turner/Machinist or a related discipline preferred. Physical ability to work in an industrial environment, including standing for extended periods and handling materials safely. Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with the production team and follow supervisor directions. Willingness to learn new techniques, adapt to different machines, and comply with company policies and safety standards.
