Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and market-oriented Technical Research Analyst to support our wealth management and investment advisory activities. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in technical analysis, chart reading, market trends, and trading strategies, along with the ability to assist in portfolio monitoring and wealth management operations.
The candidate will be responsible for generating technical insights, tracking market movements, preparing research reports, and supporting investment decisions through data-driven analysis.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Research & Market Analysis:
- Conduct technical analysis of equities, indices, ETFs, and other financial instruments.
- Analyze price charts, trends, patterns, momentum, volume, and market structure.
- Develop trading and investment ideas using technical indicators and price action analysis.
- Prepare daily/weekly market outlook reports and technical research notes.
- Identify potential entry points, exit levels, stop-loss levels, and target prices.
- Track sector rotation, market trends, and important technical levels.
- Monitor market movements and provide timely insights to the investment team.
Charting & Strategy Development:
- Work with charting platforms such as TradingView, Bloomberg, or similar tools.
- Apply technical tools including moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci, support/resistance, and trend analysis.
- Study historical price behavior and back-test trading strategies.
- Maintain records of trade ideas, performance tracking, and research outcomes.
Wealth Management Support:
- Assist in portfolio monitoring and review of client portfolios.
- Track portfolio performance, allocation, and market exposure.
- Prepare portfolio review presentations and investment updates.
- Support senior advisors with market data, reports, and analytical inputs.
- Maintain accurate records of client-related reports and investment documents.
Reporting & MIS:
- Prepare Excel-based dashboards and market tracking reports.
- Maintain daily market watchlists and research databases.
- Assist in generating internal MIS reports and investment summaries.
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of research outputs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in technical analysis, equity research, trading desk, advisory, or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of technical indicators, chart patterns, and market behavior.
- Ability to interpret price action and identify trading opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with charting platforms.
- Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
- Good communication skills and ability to present market views clearly.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience tracking Indian equity markets and indices.
- Knowledge of derivatives, futures & options (F&O) markets.
- Understanding of risk management and position sizing.
- Certifications such as NISM Research Analyst, NISM Technical Analysis, or CFA Level 1 will be an advantage.
