We are an established, EN 1090 certified structural steel manufacturing facility seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all production machinery, lifting equipment, and welding plants. You will also maintain critical equipment calibration and maintenance logs required to uphold our strict Factory Production Control (FPC) and ISO quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance schedules for all factory machinery (e.g., CNC Laser, press brakes, overhead cranes, welding machines, and tapping equipment).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults swiftly to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs, asset histories, and service records to support internal and external EN 1090 / ISO audits.
- Manage the calibration schedule for critical measuring and monitoring equipment (welding gauges, ammeters, thermometers, testing machines) in compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or statutory inspections.
- Manage spare parts inventory, source replacement components, and control maintenance procurement costs.
- Enforce health and safety protocols (LOTO procedures, risk assessments) during all maintenance activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Plant Engineer, or similar role within a heavy engineering, structural steel, or manufacturing environment.
- Relevant engineering qualification (Degree, HND, or NVQ Level 3+ in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering).
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as welding equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read schematic diagrams, electrical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,994.61 per month
