About the Role
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant who wants to do more than simply manage accounts and compliance.
As a growing organisation, we are building our systems, processes and financial discipline alongside the business itself. This means the role will come with real challenges, changing priorities and opportunities to solve problems that may not always have a ready-made answer.
We are looking for someone who sees this as an opportunity to learn.
You will work closely with the leadership team and get exposure to accounting, taxation, compliance, financial controls, MIS, business analysis and decision-making. As the organisation grows, your responsibilities and ownership will grow with it.
What You Will Do
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate GST, TDS, income-tax and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks and other external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly MIS, financial reports and management reports.
- Review expenses, reconciliations, receivables, payables and cash flows.
- Develop and improve accounting processes, controls and reporting systems.
- Identify financial or operational gaps and work towards practical solutions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning as the business scales.
- Analyse financial information and provide insights that can support business decisions.
- Help establish processes that make the finance function more structured and scalable.
- Take ownership of finance-related projects and problems as they arise.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is curious, responsible and comfortable learning through challenges.
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Are a qualified CA or recently qualified CA.
- Have strong fundamentals in accounting, taxation and financial reporting.
- Are comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software.
- Have an analytical approach and attention to detail.
- Can independently investigate a problem rather than waiting for instructions.
- Are willing to work in an environment where processes are continuously being built and improved.
- Communicate clearly and take ownership of your work.
- Are comfortable saying “I don't know yet” and then figuring out how to find the answer.
- Want exposure to the business side of finance, rather than only routine compliance work.
Why Join Us?
This is a role for someone who wants to grow with the organisation.
You will encounter problems that may not have standard answers. Instead of viewing these challenges as a drawback, we want you to use them to develop stronger problem-solving, commercial and leadership skills.
As the organisation grows, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with the founders/leadership.
- Understand how financial decisions affect the actual business.
- Build systems and processes rather than simply operate existing ones.
- Take increasing ownership as your capabilities grow.
- Gain exposure across multiple areas of finance and business operations.
- Learn from mistakes, challenges and situations that cannot be solved through a textbook alone.
We are not looking for someone who only wants a predictable checklist of responsibilities. We are looking for someone who wants to build, learn and become better as the organisation becomes better.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 6–12 months, you should be able to independently manage core finance and compliance responsibilities, improve the quality and timeliness of financial reporting, identify gaps in existing processes, and increasingly contribute to business decisions beyond routine accounting.
